TV Anime 'Wakaokami wa Shougakusei' Gets Movie

The official website for the upcoming TV anime Wakaokami wa Shougakusei launched a separate page and announced that the TV series will also get a movie to premiere in Japanese theaters this September. The staff members will differ from the TV series, while the cast members and studios from the TV series will reprise their roles as previously announced. The movie will be about a story between Okko and her parents, which the original work or the TV series don't mention.

Based on the novel by Hiroko Reijou and Asami, Wakaokami wa Shougakusei! was published via Kodansha's Aoi Tori Bunko imprint from 2003 to 2013 in 20 volumes. Eiko Oouchi drew a manga version in Kodansha's monthly Nakayoshi shoujo magazine for a total of seven volumes. The TV series will start airing on April 8.
