'Maougun Saikyou no Majutsushi wa Ningen datta' Unveils Additional Cast, Staff, First Promo, Summer 2024 Premiere
The official website for the television anime adaptation of Ryousuke Hata and Anajiro's Maougun Saikyou no Majutsushi wa Ningen datta (The Strongest Magician in the Demon Lord's Army was a Human) manga revealed on Wednesday additional cast, staff, opening theme, key visual (pictured), and first promotional video. The anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2024.
Kentarou Tone (Utawarerumono: Itsuwari no Kamen) will be joining the cast as Jiron.

Norihiko Nagahama (Noumin Kanren no Skill bakka Agetetara Nazeka Tsuyoku Natta.) helms the anime at Studio A-CAT. Touko Machida (Saikyou Onmyouji no Isekai Tenseiki) is handling the series composition and Masami Sueoka (Noumin Kanren no Skill bakka Agetetara Nazeka Tsuyoku Natta.) is designing the characters. Kohta Yamamoto (Mato Seihei no Slave) is composing the music.
Hata began writing the original action fantasy story as a web novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2016. Futabasha acquired the novel and published the first volume under its Monster Bunko imprint in September 2016, featuring illustrations by KUMA. Futabasha published the fifth and final volume in April 2018.
Anajiro began drawing the manga adaptation in Monster Comics magazine in August 2019. The tenth volume went on sale on January 30.
