'Mayonaka Heart Tune' Announces Supporting Cast Pair
The official X (formerly Twitter) account of the Mayonaka Heart Tune (Tune In to the Midnight Heart) television anime announced a pair of additional cast on Sunday. The anime series adapting Masakuni Igarashi's showbiz-themed romantic comedy manga is scheduled to premiere on January 6 at 11:00 p.m. on Kansai TV and Fuji TV's new Karnival!! programming slot, followed by BS Asahi.
Voice actresses Yuuki Wakai (Kakegurui) and Nao Touyama (Kikaijikake no Marie) are joining the cast as Aiko and Ao Momotose, respectively.
Masayuki Takahashi (Buta no Liver wa Kanetsu Shiro) is directing the anime at Gekkou, with Yukie Sugawara (Tougen Anki) is handling the series composition and script. Tomoyuki Shitaya (2.5-jigen no Ririsa) is designing the characters. Kuniyuki Takahashi (Shangri-La Frontier) is composing the music.
Igarashi began serializing the manga in Weekly Shounen Magazine in September 2023, approximately 3.5 years after concluding Senryuu Shoujo. Kodansha published the 11th volume in December 2025.
Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in July 2024 and released the fourth volume in November 2025. The fifth volume is planned for a January 13 release. The company also simulpublishes the manga on its K Manga app and website.
