Manga 'Meikyuu Black Company' Gets TV Anime
Mag Garden's MAGCOMI website announced a television anime adaptation of Youhei Yasumura's Meikyuu Black Company (The Dungeon of Black Company) manga on Wednesday. The August 2020 issue of Monthly Comic Garden will feature the manga on its cover on July 4 (pictured).
Synopsis
Kinji, who lacks any kind of work ethic, is a layabout in his modern life. One day, he finds himself transported to another world—but not in a grand fantasy of a hero welcomed with open arms. He's immediately shoved into a terrible job! Now enslaved by an evil mining company in a fantasy world, Kinji's about to really learn the meaning of hard work! (Source: Seven Seas Entertainment)
The comedy fantasy manga began its serialization on the MAGCOMI website in December 2016. The sixth volume, which goes on sale on July 10, will also feature the anime announcement on its wraparound band.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English in September 2017 and released the fourth volume on January 28.
Yasumura also drew a manga adaptation of Touki Yanagimi's Taimadou Gakuen 35 Shiken Shoutai (Antimagic Academy "The 35th Test Platoon") light novel in Comic Alive from December 2014–2016. Kadokawa published the manga in two volumes in August and December 2015.
