'Tooi-san wa Seishun Shitai!' Movie Reveals Main Staff, Teaser Trailer

An official website for the anime movie adaptation of Strawberry Prince member Jel's Tooi-san video series opened on Thursday, revealing the main staff and a teaser trailer. The movie, titled Tooi-san wa Seishun Shitai! Baka to Smartphone to Romance to, will open in theaters in Japan on July 18.

Jel is involved in the planning, script, storyboards, character design, and voice acting. Group leader Nanamori. is in charge of planning and overall production. The production committee consists of STPR Inc. and advertising agency Dentsu. Film production company Shochiku is distributing the movie.

The Tooi-san video series debuted on X (formerly Twitter) in April 2019. The series contains over 1,000 videos on YouTube, TikTok, and other platforms, garnering over 10 billion views combined.

The SutoPuri Movie: Hajimari no Monogatari - Strawberry School Festival!!!, based on the group, premiered in Japan on July 19 last year.

Synopsis
Tooi, an ordinary high school girl, was expecting a normal school life—until everything changed on her very first day.

After catching the attention of the unpredictable and overly energetic classmate Jel, she's suddenly roped into the mysterious "Youth Romance Club," a bizarre school group dedicated to chasing down anything that feels "youthful" or "romantic."

What should've been a carefree club quickly spirals into chaotic antics, with Tooi constantly playing the straight man to everyone's nonsense. To make things even wilder, the club's antics start getting streamed online!

Between laughter, unexpected twists, and even a mysterious incident, this unpredictable school life is just getting started.
