Manga 'Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic' to Enter Its Final Arc
A scan of the 43rd issue of Shogakukan's Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine, which will go on sale on September 23, revealed that manga Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic will be entering its final arc. The arc will begin in the 48th issue of Shounen Sunday, which goes on sale on October 29.
Magi is written and illustrated by Shinobu Ohtaka and has been serialized in Shounen Sunday since June 2009. The manga received a prequel, covering Sinbad's early life, which was adapted into five OVA episodes. The main series itself has received two TV anime adaptations by A-1 Pictures. The first, titled Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic, aired in 2012, and the second, titled Magi: The Kingdom of Magic, aired in 2013. Both adaptations ran for 25 episodes.
The series won the shounen category for the 59th Shougakukan Manga Awards in 2013.
