'Peleliu: Rakuen no Guernica' Unveils Main Staff, December 2025 Debut
Toei's 2025-2026 lineup press conference revealed the main staff and a visual for the anime movie adaptation of Kazuyoshi Takeda's Peleliu: Rakuen no Guernica (Peleliu: Guernica of Paradise) manga on Thursday. The movie is scheduled to premiere in Japanese theaters on December 5.
Gorou Kuji (Mato Seihei no Slave) is directing the anime at Shin-Ei Animation and Fugaku. Junji Nishimura (Nurarihyon no Mago) and Kazuyoshi Takeda are penning the script.
Takeda serialized the military drama manga in Young Animal magazine from February 2016 to April 2021. Hakusensha released the 11th and final volume in July 2021. A spin-off manga by Takeda began in the same magazine in July 2022, with the third volume shipped on July 29.
