Web Manga 'Yuusha no Kuzu' Gets TV Anime

LEED Publishing announced a television anime adaptation of Rocket Shoukai and Nakashima723's Yuusha no Kuzu (Scum of the Brave) manga on Saturday. The publishing company also opened an official website, revealing a teaser visual (pictured above) and an announcement promo. The anime series is being produced by animation studio OLM (Komi-san wa, Comyushou desu., Odd Taxi), and will air on NTV (Nippon Television Network).

Rocket Shoukai originally penned the main story as a web novel on the Kakuyomu website from February to March in 2016. Kadokawa published the novel under its Kadokawa Books imprint in December that year, featuring illustrations by Yuuya Kusaka (Majutsushi Orphen).

Nakashima723 originally self-published the manga on the web in June 2018 and released the first volume on the Kindle Indies Manga platform in November that year. Comic Border began serializing a manga adaptation in February 2022. LEED Publishing released the sixth volume in May 2024, with the seventh volume going on sale on March 21.

The first volume was released in English by comic translation engine Mantra Comics in March 2020. Manga Planet began publishing the chapters in English in May 2020.

Synopsis
