Anime Adaptation of Cyberpunk Novel 'Ninja Slayer' Announced [Update 4/11]
The official Twitter account of Ninja Slayer announced an anime adaptation of the cyberpunk title. Further details will be released on April 11th.
Ninja Slayer is a series of novels which follow Kenji Fujikido who vows to hunt down and kill ninjas after his family is slain during a ninja battle. The stories are set in the futuristic city of Neo Saitama.
The story was apparently written by Americans Bradley Bond and Philip Ninj@ Morzez, and subsequently translated by a Japanese team. However, many readers believe that this backstory is a ruse designed by the true creators. Upon gaining popularity online, the series was published by Enterbrain and subsequently adapted into three manga series by Enterbrain and Kodansha.
