'Seishun Buta Yarou wa Santa Claus no Yume wo Minai' Unveils Additional Cast Pair, Opening Theme, First Promo for Summer 2025
The Seishun Buta Yarou wa Santa Claus no Yume wo Minai (Rascal Does Not Dream of Santa Claus) special stage in the Red Stage of AnimeJapan 2025 revealed a pair of cast, opening theme, and promotional video for the television anime sequel on Saturday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in July 2025.
Voice actresses Konomi Kohara (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai: Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunousen) and Manaka Iwami ([Oshi no Ko]) are joining the cast as Sara Himeji and Miori Mitou, respectively.
Pop-rock band Conton Candy (Sakamoto Days) is performing the opening theme "Snowdrop," which is previewed in the promotional video below.
Returning staff at CloverWorks include director Souichi Masui (Hitsugi no Chaika), Masahiro Yokotani (Hataraku Maou-sama!!) for script and series composition, character designer Satomi Tamura (22/7), and music composer fox capture plan (Ameku Takao no Suiri Karte).
The anime series adapts Hajime Kamoshida's romantic comedy light novel, which began publishing under the Dengeki Bunko imprint in April 2014, featuring illustrations by Keiji Mizoguchi (Sakura-sou no Pet na Kanojo). Kadokawa published the 15th and final volume in October 2024.
