'Arknights: Rise from Ember' Reveals New Cast, Staff, Promo for Summer 2025
The official website of the Arknights: Rise from Ember anime series revealed new cast, staff, a key visual (pictured), theme songs, and the first promotional video on Saturday. The third television anime based on Hypergryph's smartphone game will begin airing on July 4 at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX, followed by KBS Kyoto, Sun TV, BS11, and Animax.
Voice actresses Yuuka Nanri (Sakamichi no Apollon) and Aya Uchida (Trinity Seven) are joining the cast as Theresa and Arena, respectively.
Singer-songwriter ReoNa (Shadows House) is returning to perform the opening theme "End of Days." Hana Itoki (Mahoutsukai no Yome) is performing the ending theme "Truth." Both songs are previewed in the promotional video below.
Yuuki Watanabe is returning to direct the third season at Yostar Pictures. Aya Takafuji (Blue Archive) is designing the characters, and Yuuki Hayashi (Boku no Hero Academia) is composing the music.
New staff include Saiun Sai, joining Kouhei Tanada as director of photography and Grounding Lab, joining Legendoor for music production.
The first season, Arknights: Reimei Zensou (Arknights Animation: Prelude to Dawn), aired in Fall 2022, followed by the second season, Arknights: Touin Kiro (Arknights: Perish in Frost), in Fall 2023—each running for eight episodes. Crunchyroll streamed both seasons with English subtitles worldwide, excluding Asia.
Hypergryph released the smartphone game in China in May 2019 and other countries the following year. The company announced a spin-off game, Arknights: Endfield, for PC and mobile in March 2022.
