According to a scan from the latest issue of good! Afternoon magazine, horror manga Ajin will be receiving an animated movie trilogy adaptation.

The series is written by Gamon Sakurai and Tsuina Miura (volume 1 only). It began serialization in Kodansha's good! Afternoon magazine in March 2012. It is currently being published with six volumes released.

Ajin also placed in the final rankings of the 2014 Manga Taisho Award, earning a total of 32 points and receiving 8th place.

Synopsis
"Ajin" are humans that lack the ability to die. First discovered during a conflict in Africa, more and more are turning up in human society. Because they are rare, the government will generously reward anybody who turns in an "ajin" so that they can be used for experimental purposes. In the present day, the series revolves around a high school student who expects to have an ordinary summer break; however, his life is about to change...
