'Yuusha-kei ni Shosu: Choubatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku' Reveals Cast Pair, Theme Song, Main Promo
An advance screening event for the Yuusha-kei ni Shosu: Choubatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku (Sentenced to Be a Hero) television anime revealed a cast pair, the theme song, third promo, and a visual (pictured) on Saturday.
The anime series adapting Rocket Shoukai's action fantasy light novel will debut with an-hour special on January 3, 2026 at 10:00 p.m. on Tokyo MX. Second episode onward, the anime will air on Thursdays at 10:30 p.m. beginning on January 15, 2026.
Voice actors Yuuichi Nakamura (Jujutsu Kaisen) and Saori Oonishi (Dungeon ni Deai wo Motomeru no wa Machigatteiru Darou ka) are joining the cast as Rhyno and Frenci Mastibolt, respectively.
Rock-band SPYAIR (Bleach) is performing the theme song "Kill the Noise."
Hiroyuki Takashima (Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu episode director) is helming the anime at Studio KAI, with Yoshitake Nakakouji (Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu animation director) as assistant director. Kenta Ihara (Youjo Senki) is handling the series composition and script. Takeru Noda (Ousama Ranking animation director) is designing the characters and Shunsuke Takizawa (Hataage! Kemono Michi) is composing the music.
Shoukai began penning the novel on the Kakuyomu website in October 2020. Kadokawa began publishing the novel under its Dengeki no Shinbungei imprint with illustrations by Mephisto in September 2021 and published the seventh volume on January 17, with the eight volume planned for a January 17, 2026 release.
Natsumi Inoue began drawing a manga adaptation on Dengeki Comic Regulus web magazine in March 2022. Kadokawa published the second volume in April 2024.
Yen Press licensed the light novel for English release in August 2023 and published the fourth volume on May 20, with the fifth volume planned for December 16 release. Kadokawa publishes the manga adaptation in English on the BookWalker website.
