'Inu-Ou' Reveals Additional Cast Members

The official website for the anime movie Inu-Ou announced three additional cast members on Friday. The film is currently competing in the 78th Venice International Film Festival, where it had its world premiere under the Orizzonti Competition on September 9, and will premiere in Japan in Summer 2022.

Inu-Ou's Father: Kenjirou Tsuda (Mugen no Juunin: Immortal)
Tomona's Father: Yutaka Matsushige (Sarusuberi: Miss Hokusai)

Masaaki Yuasa (Ping Pong the Animation) is helming the anime at Science SARU, and Akiko Nogi (I Am a Hero live-action) is penning the script. Nobutake Itou (Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome) is designing the characters, and Yoshihide Ootomo is composing the music.

The movie adapts Hideo Furukawa's Heike Monogatari: Inu-Ou no Maki (Tales of the Heike: Inu-Ou) novel, which was released in 2017.
