Manga 'Video Girl Ai' Gets New One-Shot
The third and fourth combined issue of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump has announced that Video Girl Ai (Denei Shoujo) will get a new one-shot to commemorate the new live-action drama adaptation of the manga series for Winter 2018. It will be published in the fifth and sixth combined issue of the magazine on January 4, 2018 under the title Video Girl Ai 2018.
Video Girl Ai is a romance sci-fi manga by Masakazu Katsura. It was serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump magazine from November 1989 to September 1992 and has released 15 compiled manga volumes. The manga has been adapted into multiple mediums such as novels, live-action series, TV drama, and a game. A six-part OVA by Production I.G was released in 1992.
Viz Media published the manga in English from May 2004 to April 2006, and released the OVA series in North America in a DVD volume in December 2001.
