'Yoru wa Neko to Issho' Gets Third Season
Production company Kadokawa announced a third season for the Yoru wa Neko to Issho (Nights with a Cat) anime on Thursday, revealing two teaser visuals (pictured above).
The cast members Ayahi Takagaki, Satoshi Hino, and Atsumi Tanezaki are reprising as Kyuruga, Fuuta-kun, and Pii-chan, respectively.
Produced by Studio PuYUKAI, the first eight episodes of the first season aired on television from August–September in 2022, with the remaining 22 episodes streaming on the anime's official YouTube channel. The second season also streamed on YouTube from March–November 2023. An episode in collaboration with Gamera: Rebirth titled Daikaijuu Gamenya Shuurai (Nights with a Cat x Gamera: Rebirth) debuted last September.
The anime series adapts Kyuru Z's comedy slice of life manga, which they originally launched on their Nekonavi blog and Twitter (now X) under the title Zutto Neko Shoshinsha in December 2019. Kadokawa began publishing the manga the following October and released the fifth volume last July.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English in November 2021. The second volume went on sale in October 2022, with the third volume planned for a March 19 release.
Synopsis
Fuuta-kun has never owned a cat before, but his younger sister, Pii-chan, moves into his house with the round gray cat Kyuruga. Inexperienced with cats, Fuuta-kun has no idea what to expect, and each night after he returns home is marked by odd and endearing surprises from his new pet. [Written by MAL Rewrite]
