'Chuuzenji-sensei Mononoke Kougiroku' Reveals Additional Cast Pair, Opening Theme, First Promo
The official website of the Chuuzenji-sensei Mononoke Kougiroku: Sensei ga Nazo wo Hodoite Shimau kara. (The Mononoke Lecture Logs of Chuzenji-sensei: He Just Solves All the Mysteries) television anime revealed two additional cast, opening theme, key visual (pictured), and first promo on Friday. The anime series adapting Aki Shimizu's supernatural mystery manga will debut on April 8 at 1:30 a.m. on TV Tokyo, BS TV Tokyo, and AT-X.
Voice actors Mitsuru Miyamoto (Kekkai Sensen) and Kaoru Sakura (Mayoiga) are joining the cast as Soichirou Enokizu and Yukie, respectively.
HoneyWorks (Kekkon suru tte, Hontou desu ka) is performing the opening theme "Kanojo wa Ima, Meikyuu no Naka." with KAF (Urusei Yatsura (2022)). The song is previewed in the promotional video below.
Chihiro Kumano (Unnamed Memory assistant director) is helming the anime at 100studio. Atsushi Oka (Ookamikakushi script) is in charge of the series composition and script. Masahiko Suzuki (Otome Game Sekai wa Mob ni Kibishii Sekai desu) is designing the characters. Keiichi Hirokawa (MONACA) (Shangri-La Frontier) and Ryuuichi Takada (MONACA) (Summertime Render) are composing the music.
Shimizu began the manga—a spin-off to Natsuhiko Kyougoku's Hyakki Yakou novel series—in Shounen Magazine Edge in October 2019. Following the magazine's discontinuance, the manga switched to the Comic Days app in December 2023. Kodansha published the tenth volume on October 8, with the 11th volume planned for a March 7 release.
