'Shin Samurai-den Yaiba' Gets Second Anime Season
The official website of the new television anime adaptation of Gosho Aoyama's Yaiba manga announced a second season on Saturday, revealing an announcement promo and visual (pictured).
Voice actors Kouki Uchiyama (Sakamoto Days Part 2) and Ami Koshimizu (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) are joining the cast as Tsukikage and Kaguya, respectively.
Produced by WIT Studio, the first anime season began airing on April 5 and ended on Saturday. Netflix streamed the anime with subtitles and dubs in multiple languages.
Aoyama serialized the action adventure manga in Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine from 1988 to 1993. Shogakukan collected the chapters into 24 volumes from 1989 to 1994. A 52-episode television anime produced by Pastel aired from 1993 to 1994.
