Mobile Game 'Kemono Friends' Gets TV Anime

Mobile game developer Nexon has announced that its property Kemono Friends will be adapted into a TV anime. The announcement was made following the game's latest update on Thursday. The update also removed payment requirements from all parts of the game.

Kemono Friends, billed as a "zoo role-playing game," began service in March 2015 for the Android and iOS platforms. In the game, players gather various female beast characters and battle against other "tamers" and violent criminals. The game has also collaborated with the Ghost in the Shell franchise to include an anthropomorphism of the Tachikoma.
