Light Novel 'Nihon e Youkoso Elf-san.' Receives Anime Adaptation

The official X (formerly Twitter) account of HJ Novels announced an anime adaptation of Suzuki Makishima's Nihon e Youkoso Elf-san. (Welcome to Japan, Ms. Elf!) light novel on Thursday.

Makishima began writing the comedy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2017. Hobby Japan published the first volume under its HJ Novels imprint in August 2018, featuring illustrations by Yappen. The ninth volume was released on October 19.

Sumio Aono (Watashi no Oshi wa Akuyaku Reijou.) began serializing a manga adaptation in Comic Fire magazine in December 2018. Hobby Japan shipped the eighth volume on May 1.

J-Novel Club licensed the light novel and manga in English for digital release in January 2019 and November 2020, respectively. The eighth light novel volume went on sale on June 20. The seventh manga volume was released on March 8, with the eighth volume scheduled to be released on January 3, 2024.

Synopsis
Kazuhiro Kitase's only hobby is sleeping. Ever since he was young, he would enter a wondrous world within his dreams and go on thrilling adventures. One day, he goes on an adventure with an elf girl he became friends with in his dream world, but it's put to an abrupt halt when they both get scorched with a dragon's breath! As he wakes up from his dream, he notices a familiar figure sleeping next to him...the elf girl from his dreams?!
