'Ao no Hako' Reveals Additional Cast, Studio, Teaser Promo
The Jump Super Stage Blue at the Jump Festa 2024 event revealed additional cast, studio, and a teaser promotional video for the television anime adaptation of Kouji Miura's Ao no Hako (Blue Box) manga on Saturday.
Akari Kitou (Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun, Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu e) is joining the cast as Hina Chouno. Telecom Animation Film is producing the anime, and Unlimited Produce by TMS is credited as a producer.
Miura originally began drawing the sports romance manga as a one-shot in Weekly Shounen Jump in August 2020. The manga began serializing in the magazine the following April. Shueisha published the 13th volume on December 4.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in April 2021. The seventh volume went on sale on November 7, and the eighth volume is scheduled to ship on January 2. Shueisha is also publishing the manga in English on its Manga Plus website and app.
