Additional Cast for 'Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!!' Announced

The official website of the Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!! (Go For It, Nakamura!) television anime announced seven additional cast on Sunday. The anime series adapting Syundei's school boys love manga will air in 2026.

Hifumi Kawamura: Fairouz Ai (Nageki no Bourei wa Intai shitai)
Kouta Takeuchi: Yukihiro Nozuyama (Apocalypse Hotel)
Ryou Mukai: Atsushi Tamaru (Munou na Nana)
Yuuka Hamaoka: Makoto Koichi (Shangri-La Frontier)
Masako Okuda: Yume Maihara (Dolls' Frontline)
Tsukasa Oomori: Tsubasa Sasa (Vazzrock The Animation)

Aoi Umeki (Poputepipikku) is directing as well as designing the characters at Drive, with assistant director Naoki Yoshibe (The Missing 8 director). Yasuko Aoki (Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi) is handling the series composition and penning the script with Umeki. Ayana Tsujita (Momochi-san Chi no Ayakashi Ouji) is composing the music.

Syundei serialized the manga in Opera from December 2014 to August 2016. The The Motto Ganbare! Nakamura-kun!! (Go for It Again, Nakamura!) sequel began in the same magazine in June 2017. Akane Shinsha published the original manga and first volume of the sequel in May 2017 and August 2021, and released a new edition of each on August 16.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both manga in English in 2017 and 2021. The first volume was released in July 2018, followed by the second volume in July 2022.
