'Cyberpunk: Edgerunners' Sequel in Production

The Cyberpunk: Edgerunners panel at Anime Expo 2025 announced on Friday that a sequel is currently in production. The panel also revealed the main staff and teaser visual (pictured). The sequel, titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners II, is scheduled to run for a total of 10 episodes.

Produced by Trigger, the 10-episode first season aired in September 2022. Netflix streamed the anime exclusively worldwide, with an English dub and subtitles in multiple languages.

The anime series is based on CD Projekt's Cyberpunk 2077 video game which adapts the 1988 tabletop role-playing game Cyberpunk 2020). The game was released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in November 2020 and on Xbox Series X and Playstation 5 in February 2022.
