'Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi' Unveils Main Cast, Staff, Teaser Promo for Fall 2025

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kazune Kawahara's Taiyou yori mo Mabushii Hoshi (A Star Brighter Than the Sun) manga revealed the main cast, staff, teaser visual (pictured), and a teaser promotional video on Wednesday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in October 2025 on TBS.

Voice actors Minori Fujidera (Hana wa Saku, Shura no Gotoku) and Yuuki Ono (Beastars) are starring as Sae Iwata and Kouki Kamishiro, respectively.

Kawahara (Ore Monogatari!!) began serializing the school romance manga in June 2021 in the Bessatsu Margaret magazine. Shueisha shipped the tenth volume on November 25, with the 11th volume scheduled to be released on April 24.

VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in May 2024 and released the first volume on March 4. The second volume is scheduled to go on sale on June 3.
