'Chou Shounen Tanteidan Neo' Anime Short Announced for Winter 2017

A teaser website for Chou Shounen Tanteidan Neo has opened and announced that there will be an anime project based on Edogawa Ranpo's detective group Shounen Tanteidan. The cast and staff members for the series were also revealed, along with a teaser uploaded on studio DLE's YouTube Channel. In addition, it was announced that the series will premiere on Tokyo MX in Winter 2017.

The detective group Shounen Tanteidan is mainly featured in the novel series with the same name, which is written by Edogawa Ranpo, but has also appeared in anime series, such as Detective Conan. The Shounen Tanteidan novel will also receive a TV anime slated for this fall, with TMS Entertainment and Shin-Ei Animation handling the production. An 11-episode TV anime based on the works of Edogawa Ranpo premiered in Summer 2015. The series was simulcast by FUNimation and Animax UK in North America and the United Kingdom, respectively.
