'Yoake Tsugeru Lu no Uta' and 'Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni' Win Awards at Annecy International Animated Film Festival 2017

The Annecy International Animated Film Festival announced this year's winners on Saturday. Masaaki Yuasa's Yoake Tsugeru Lu no Uta won the Cristal award for feature films, and Sunao Katabuchi's Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni won the Judge award for feature films.

The Annecy International Animated Film Festival has been held since 1960, and it has featured films, short films, films produced for television and advertising, student films, and films made for the internet. It has been 22 years since a Japanese animation has received a feature films award from the Annecy International Animated Film Festival, which was Heisei Tanuki Gassen Ponpoko.
