Light Novel 'Okiraku Ryoushu no Tanoshii Ryouchi Bouei' Gets TV Anime
The Overlap Bunko All-Star Gathering Special 2025 event announced a television anime adaptation of Mitsuru Inoue's Okiraku Ryoushu no Tanoshii Ryouchi Bouei: Seisankei Majutsu de Na mo Naki Mura wo Saikyou no Jousai Toshi ni (Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord: Production Magic Turns a Nameless Village into the Strongest Fortified City) light novel on Sunday.
Inoue began penning the fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in May 2020. Overlap began publishing the series under its Overlap Novels label in September 2021, featuring illustrations by Kururi (Magic Maker: Isekai Mahou no Tsukurikata). The seventh volume went on sale on January 25. The light novel has a cumulative 2 million copies of its volume in circulation.
Maro Aoiro began drawing a manga adaptation on the Comic Gardo website in August 2021. Overlap published the sixth volume in August 2024, with the seventh volume going on sale on April 25.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the light novel and manga adaptation in English in March 2023. The fourth manga and novel volume shipped on February 4 and March 11, respectively. The fifth volume of each is set to be released on July 1 and August 19.
Synopsis
