New 'Kochira Katsushikaku Kameari Kouenmae Hashutsujo' Anime Special Announced via NHK

NHK Anime World official website has launched a special page for a new Kochira Katsushikaku Kameari Kouenmae Hashutsujo anime special, which will be broadcasted mid-November via BS1, NHK G, and NHK E TV. It will also be available via NHK's YouTube channel. It is part of the anime project Ani x Para ~Anata no Hero wa Dare Desuka~ (Anime x Paralympic ~Who is Your Hero~), which introduces athletes of Para sport field in anime form.

The story is about the regular KochiKame members trying on goalball. Yuuki Amaura, the featured athlete, will be voiced by Mariko Shinoda.

Kochikame is a manga by Osamu Akimoto. It was serialized between 1976 and 2016, and released a total of 200 volumes. A special chapter was also released after the end of its serialization in September 2017. It received a TV anime adaptation that ran for 373 episodes, in addition to several specials, movies, and live-action TV and movie adaptations. The latest special, Ryoutsu Kankichi Saigo no Hi, aired on September 18, 2016.
