'Spy x Family' Unveils Additional Cast for Spring 2022
The Jump Super Stage for the Spy x Family television anime revealed additional cast and a second promotional video on Saturday. The anime series adapting Tatsuya Endou's action comedy manga will air in split cours on TV Tokyo and other channels in April 2022.
Voice actresses Saori Hayami (Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru.) and Atsumi Tanezaki (Seishun Buta Yarou wa Bunny Girl Senpai no Yume wo Minai) are starring as the lead characters Yor Forger and Anya Forger, respectively. Takuya Eguchi (91 Days, Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken) is starring as Loid Forger.
Kazuhiro Furuhashi (Dororo, Hunter x Hunter) is directing the television anime at Wit Studio and CloverWorks. Kazuaki Shimada (Yakusoku no Neverland, Mahou Shoujo Nante Mou Ii Desukara.) is designing the characters. (K)NoW_NAME (Dorohedoro, Hai to Gensou no Grimgar) is composing the music.
Drawing inspiration from his past one-shots—Rengoku no Ashe (Ashe of Purgatory), Ishi ni Usubeni, Tetsu ni Hoshi (Rose in Rock, Star in Steel), and I Spy—Endou began serializing the manga in Shounen Jump+ web magazine in March 2019. Shueisha shipped the eighth volume on November 4. Spy x Family has a cumulative 12.5 million copies of its volumes in circulation.
VIZ Media began publishing the manga in English on its Shounen Jump platform in September 2019 and published the sixth volume on October 5. The seventh volume is scheduled for an April 5 release next year. Shueisha's Manga Plus service also began simulpublishing the manga in English in March 2019.
