The annual AnimeJapan industry exhibition announced on Friday its list of industry exhibitors for the event's 2018 edition, which will be held March 22–25 at Tokyo Big Sight. Among the exhibitions listed is a previously unannounced TV anime series titled Kitsune no Koe, to be exhibited at the booth of video game developer Success Corporation.

Kitsune no Koe (Voice of Fox) is an adaptation of the Chinese manhua of the same name by Hong Kong-based female artist Ray Chan. The manhua follows 16-year-old Hu Li, who dreams of becoming a popular singer. However, he has neither good looks nor the financial means to pursue his dream, so Hu uploads his singing online using a fox avatar.

The music-themed comedy series, which is also known locally under the title Huli zhi Sheng, has been publishing in the Yizhou Manhua magazine since June 2015. The Chinese web portal Sohu reported in November 2017 that the manhua was one of several titles being considered for animated adaptations this year.

Aside from Kitsune no Koe, Chan's portfolio of works includes the supernatural action manhua Chi Yi Tian Shi (The Scarlet Exorcist), which has been published on LINE Webtoon, and the adventure manhua Nizhuan Mulan Ci (Hero is a Girl), which has been published on the webcomic publishing platform Tapas.
