'Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers' Reveals Main Cast, Teaser Promo
The official website of the Yoroiden Samurai Troopers (Samurai Troopers) anime series revealed the main cast, a teaser promo, and teaser visual (pictured) for the television anime sequel on Tuesday. Yoroi Shin Den Samurai Troopers will air in January 2026.

Yamato Houjou: Shunsuke Takeuchi (Kanata no Astra)
Musashi Houjou: Ayumu Murase (Devilman: Crybaby)
Kaito Uesugi: Junya Enoki (Jujutsu Kaisen)
Shion Ishida: Kentarou Kumagai (Grancrest Senki)
Youichi Fujita (Gintama) is helming the anime at Sunrise. Shougo Mutou (Biohazard: Infinite Darkness) is handling the series composition and penning the script, and Yuuhei Murota (Tokidoki Bosotto Russia-go de Dereru Tonari no Alya-san) is designing the characters. Shuuji Katayama (Overlord) is composing the music.
Produced by Sunrise, the original television anime aired in 39 episodes from Spring 1998 to Winter 1989. Three original animation sequels were released, with the final 5-episode OVA released in 1991.
Hajime Yatate and Ryuuichi Hoshino began serializing a manga adaptation in Comic Bonbon in 1988. Kodansha published the second and final volume in 1989.
