Additional Cast for 'Kaijuu 8-gou 2nd Season' Announced
The official website for the Kaijuu 8-gou 2nd Season (Kaiju No. 8 Season 2) television anime announced three additional cast members on Saturday. The second season adapting Naoya Matsumoto's action sci-fi manga premiered on July 19 at 11:00 p.m on TV Tokyo and affiliated channels.

Juura Igarashi: Yuuko Kaida (Gintama)
Juugo Ogata: Shunsuke Sakuya (Zankyou no Terror)
Touko Kirimori: Mao Ichimichi (Tensei shitara Slime Datta Ken)
Shigeyuki Miya (Blood Lad) is returning to helm the anime at Production I.G. Yuuichirou Kido (Dr. Stone) is handling the series composition, replacing Ichirou Ookouchi. Tetsuya Nishio (Vampire in the Garden) is also returning as the character designer. Yuuta Bandou (Ryuu to Sobakasu no Hime) is reprising as the music composer.
The first season aired in 12 episodes in Spring 2024. Crunchyroll streamed the anime with multiple subtitles and dubs.
Naoya began serializing the manga on Shounen Jump+ in July 2020 and ended on July 17. Shueisha published the 15th volume on March 4, with the 16th and final volume scheduled to be released on September 4.
VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in February 2021 and released the 13th volume on June 3. The 14th volume is planned for a September 2 release.
