'Sanda' Unveils Supporting Cast, Second Teaser Promo

The official website of the Sanda television anime revealed four additional cast members and a second teaser promotional video on Friday. The anime series adapting Paru Itagaki's action mystery manga will begin airing on October 4 at 12:53 a.m. on MBS, TBS, and CBS, followed by BS-TBS.

Tomohisa Shimoyama (Yuurei Deco) is directing the anime at Science SARU. Kimiko Ueno (Dungeon Meshi) is handling the series composition and penning the script. Masamichi Ishiyama (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken: Ougon no Kaze animation director) is designing the characters and Tomoyuki Tanaka (FPM) (Superflat Monogram) is composing the music.

Itagaki began drawing the manga in Weekly Shounen Champion in July 2021, approximately nine months after completing Beastars. The manga ended its three-year run on July 11. Akita Shoten published the 16th and final volume in October 2024.

Titan Comics licensed the manga in English on March 3 and will release the first volume on September 2.
