Main Cast of 'Yuusha-kei ni Shosu' Announced for 2025

The official website for the television anime adaptation of Shoukai Rocket's Yuusha-kei ni Shosu: Choubatsu Yuusha 9004-tai Keimu Kiroku (Sentenced to Be a Hero: The Prison Records of Penal Hero Unit 9004) light novel revealed the main cast and a second teaser visual on Tuesday. Produced by Studio Kai, the anime is scheduled to premiere in 2025.

Voice actors Youhei Azakami (Kamonohashi Ron no Kindan Suiri, Yuuki Bakuhatsu Bang Bravern) and Mayu Iizuka (Cue!, Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta?) are starring as Xylo Forbartz and Teoritta, respectively.

Rocket originally began penning the adventure fantasy on the Kakuyomu website in October 2020. Kadokawa began publishing the title under its Dengeki no Shinbungei label with illustrations by Mephisto in September 2021 and released the sixth volume in April 2024. The seventh volume is scheduled to go on sale on January 17.

Natsumi Inoue began serializing a manga adaptation in Dengeki Comic Regulus in March 2022. Kadokawa published the second volume in April 2024.

Yen Press licensed the light novel in English this February and published the third volume on August 20. The fourth volume is planned to be released on March 18. The manga adaptation is released digitally in English on the BookWalker site.
