'Megumi no Daigo: Kyuukoku no Orange' Unveils Additional Cast Pair
The official website of the television anime adaptation of Masahito Soda and Kuro Tomiyama's Megumi no Daigo: Kyuukoku no Orange (Firefighter Daigo: Rescuer in Orange) manga unveiled two additional cast members on Saturday. The anime premiered on September 30 at 5:30 p.m. on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV-affiliated channels.
Youko Hikasa (Pluto) and Kouhei Amasaki (Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) are joining the cast as Toyomu Altonen and Takayoshi Tachibana, respectively.
Masahiko Murata (Baby Steps) is directing the anime at animation studio Brain's Base. Shinzou Fujita (Fumetsu no Anata e) is handling the series composition. Hitomi Tsuruta (World Trigger) and Kouji Yabuno (Uchuu Kyoudai) are designing the characters.
Soda serialized the original action drama manga series in 20 volumes on the Shounen Sunday magazine from August 1995 to June 1999.
The sequel manga, Megumi no Daigo: Kyuukoku no Orange, began serialization on the Monthly Shounen Magazine in October 2020. Kodansha shipped the eighth volume on October 17.
