'Machikado Mazoku: 2-choume' Reveals Additional Cast Pair
The official website of the Machikado Mazoku (The Demon Girl Next Door) television anime revealed a pair of additional cast, one staff change, and a key visual (pictured) for the second season on Sunday. The anime is scheduled to premiere on TBS on April 8 at 1:28 a.m. followed by BS11 at 11:30 p.m.
Ayasa Itou (BanG Dream!) and Takashi Matsuyama (Hoozuki no Reitetsu) are joining the cast as Riko and Manager Shirasawa, respectively.
Yoshihiro Tougou (Planet With photography) is replacing Yoshio Ookouchi as the photography director.
shami momo, the duo composed of the main cast Konomi Kohara and Akari Kitou, is returning to perform the opening theme "Tokimeki Rendezvous." Konomi Kohara, Akari Kitou, Minami Takahashi, and Tomoyo Takayanagi are performing the ending theme "Yoi Kagen Tetragon" as their respective characters.
Hiroaki Sakurai (Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan) is returning to helm the second season at J.C.Staff, with Keiichirou Oochi (Adachi to Shimamura) handling the series composition. Other returning staff include character designer Mai Ootsuka (Non Non Biyori) and music composer Miki Sakurai (5-toubun no Hanayome).
The anime series adapts Izumi Ito's 4-koma comedy slice of life manga, which debuted as a guest series in Manga Time Kirara Carat's August and September 2014 issues before beginning regular serialization in the November issue of that year. Houbunsha shipped the sixth volume on February 25.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga in English this July and will release the fifth volume on April 5.
