'Tsukiuta.' Receives Anime Movie for 2023

The 12th Tsukiuta. stage event announced an anime movie for the franchise on Sunday, adapting the fifth stage play Rabbits Kingdom. Subtitled Rabbits Kingdom the Movie, the movie is scheduled to open in theaters in Japan in 2023.

Tsukiuta. adapts a series of music and drama CDs centered on anthropomorphized months, which began as a collaboration between Vocaloid producers and popular voice actors. The franchise has since inspired multiple stage plays, video games, and manga anthologies.

Tsukiuta. The Animation, the first anime season by Studio Pierrot aired in 13 episodes in Summer 2016, commemorating Animate's 30th anniversary. The second season by Children's Playground Entertainment, originally scheduled for 2019, premiered in Fall 2020. Funimation simulcast both seasons with subtitles and released the first season on home video in September 2017.

SOARA, Growth, SolidS, and QUELL from Tsukino Production also received a television anime adaptation by PRA in Fall 2017, followed by a second season in Summer 2021.
