'Detective Conan' Spin-off Manga 'Keisatsu Gakkou-hen - Wild Police Story' Gets TV Anime
The 36th and 37th combined issue of Weekly Shounen Sunday announced a television anime adaptation of Takahiro Arai's Detective Conan: Keisatsu Gakkou-hen - Wild Police Story (Detective Conan: Police Academy Arc - Wild Police Story) spin-off manga on Wednesday.
Keisatsu Gakkou-hen - Wild Police Story takes place 7 years before the events of Detective Conan which focuses on Rei Furuya, Jinpei Matsuda, Kenji Hagiwara, Wataru Date, and Hiromitsu Morifushi during their time at the Metropolitan Police Academy.
Arai serialized the spin-off for 13 chapters in Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine from October 2019 to November 18 last year. Shogakukan shipped the two volumes on November 18 and December 18, respectively.
The anime is part of the "100 Volumes Project" to celebrate the 100th volume the main manga series by Gosho Aoyama, which will be released on October 18.
