'Balus!' Tweets by Audience of Castle in the Sky Set a New World Record

According to Twitter Japan official account, a new world record of the number of tweets per second was established at 11:22pm JST on December 9th. At the moment, many audience in Japan watching the 13th rerun of Castle in the Sky on TV tweeted "Balus!" and 25,088 tweets were posted in one second. The previous record was 8,868 tweets when the pregnancy of Beyoncé Knowles was revealed last August.

"Balus!" is the magic spell of destruction, which Pazu and Sheeta cast at the climax of the anime.
