Light Novel 'Juuni Taisen' Gets TV Anime Adaptation for 2017

An official website has opened and announced that a novel by writer Isin Nisio and illustrator Hikaru Nakamura titled Juuni Taisen will get a TV anime adaptation for 2017. Nobuhiko Okamoto (3-gatsu no Lion) will voice Usagi and Graphinica will produce the TV anime.

Juuni Taisen is prequel to one of the short from one-shot series Oogiri by Isin Nisio that was serialized in Weekly Young Jump titled Doushitemo Kanaetai Tatta Hitotsu no Negai to Wari to Sou demo Nai 99 no Negai. Shueisha published the novel in May 2015. The story is about twelve special fighters who battle against each other in order to have their one wish come true no matter what. These fighters represent the twelve Chinese Zodiac.

AnimeJapan 2017 stage for the TV anime will be held on March 26 at the Avex Pictures booth. Nobuhiko Okamoto, editor in chief for Shueisha's J Book Takanori Asada, and Kazuto Matsumura from Avex Pictures will attend the event.
