The official website for the Shinjiteita Nakama-tachi ni Dungeon Okuchi de Korosarekaketa ga Gift "Mugen Gacha" de Level 9999 no Nakama-tachi wo Te ni Irete Moto Party Member to Sekai ni Fukushuu & "Zamaa!" Shimasu! (Backstabbed in a Backwater Dungeon: My Trusted Companions Tried to Kill Me, But Thanks to the Gift of an Unlimited Gacha I Got LVL 9999 Friends and Am Out For Revenge on My Former Party Members and the World) television anime revealed additional cast, staff, and a key visual on Friday. The anime series adapting Shisui Meikyou's action fantasy novel is scheduled to broadcast on October 3 at 11:30 p.m. on Tokyo MX followed by MBS, CBC, and BS11.

Meikyou began penning the novel on Shousetsuka ni Narou website in April 2020. Hobby Japan began publishing the series under its HJ Novels imprint with illustrations by tef in May 2021, and shipped the 12th volume on April 18.
Takafumi Oomae began drawing a manga adaptation on Magazine Pocket website in May 2021. Kodansha published the 16th volume on May 9 and the 17th volume is scheduled to be released on August 7.
J-Novel Club licensed the light novel for digital release in English in September 2024 and published the tenth volume on March 27, with the 11th volume scheduled for October 10 release.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga adaptation for English release in May 2022 and published the ninth volume on April 12, with the tenth volume scheduled for December 23 release.
