The first 2018 issue of Kodansha's Weekly Young Magazine is revealing on Monday that Jasmine Gyuh's Back Street Girls manga will receive a TV anime adaptation.

Synopsis
A group of three yakuza failed their boss for the last time. After messing up an important job, the boss gave them two choices: Honorably committing suicide, or go to Thailand to get a sex reassignment surgery in order to become "female" idols. After a gruesome year-long training to become idols, they successfully debut, with overwhelming popularity, much to their dismay. This is where their tragedy truly begins. (Source: MU, edited)

Back Street Girls began its serialization in Weekly Young Magazine in March 2015 and currently has eight compiled volumes in print, with the ninth volume to be released on December 6. The series has approximately half a million copies of its volumes in circulation.
