Animax Announces 'Akanesasu Shoujo' Anime Project

Commemorating the television network's 20th anniversary, Animax announced an original anime series titled Akanesasu Shoujo on Thursday. The anime will premiere on Animax and its Playstation application, as well as other stations. A smartphone game is also in development for the Android and iOS platform, and will be free-to-play.

Animax also launched an official site, revealing the staff members and a key visual (pictured). The tagline on the key visual reads, "I met myself, and bid farewell to my everyday world."

Animax is a Japanese satellite television network dedicated to anime, and is a subsidiary of AK Holdings, a joint venture by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Mitsui & Co., which was formed in March 2017.
