'Bungou Stray Dogs' Gets Fourth Anime Season
The Bungou Stray Dogs: Mayoi Inu Tachi no Utage Sono San event announced a fourth anime season for Kafka Asagiri and Harukawa35's supernatural action manga on Sunday. The event also unveiled the main staff and a teaser visual (pictured).

Asagiri and Harukawa35 began the manga in Monthly Young Ace in December 2012. Kadokawa published the 21st volume on August 3. Bungou Stray Dogs has a cumulative 8.5 million copies of its volumes in circulation.
Produced by Bones, the first television anime aired in split cours in Spring and Fall 2016. The 13th manga volume bundled an original video anime episode in August 2017. The third season premiered in Spring 2019.
The Bungou Stray Dogs: Dead Apple anime film premiered in Japan in March 2018, earning approximately 550 million yen (US$4.85 million) at the box office. Crunchyroll screened the film in the United States and Canadian theaters in May that year.
Bungou Stray Dogs Wan!, adapting the spin-off manga by Neco Kanai, aired in Winter 2021. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
Yen Press licensed the manga in English in 2016 and shipped the 20th volume on October 5. Funimation licensed the anime series in North America and distributed the first two seasons on home video in March and September 2018. The company also released the film and third season last June.
The Bungou Stray Dogs: Beast live-action film, based on the stage play adaptation, is scheduled to open in theaters in Japan on January 7, 2022.
