The official Twitter of publisher TO Books announced on Friday that an anime adaptation of Nozomu Koryuu's Okashi na Tensei (Sweet Reincarnation) light novel is in progress.

Koryuu began writing the slice of life fantasy series on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in February 2015. TO Books began publishing the light novel with illustrations by Yasuyuki Shuri in October 2015. The 20th volume was released on May 10, with the 21st volume scheduled to ship on August 10.

Midori Tomizawa began drawing the manga adaptation with illustrations by Seriko Iida in December 2017 under the Comic Corona magazine. TO Books shipped the seventh volume last December, and the eighth volume's release is scheduled for August 16.

J-Novel Club has been digitally publishing the manga in English since November 2019, with the seventh volume scheduled to be released on October 10. The series has a cumulative 850,000 million copies of its light novel and manga volumes in circulation.
