'Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero' Reveals Main Staff, Supporting Cast, First Trailer

The Jump Super Stage for the Dragon Ball Super anime revealed on Saturday the main staff, additional cast, and first trailer for the Super Hero anime movie. The movie is scheduled to open in Japanese theaters on April 22, 2022.

Hiroshi Kamiya (Shingeki no Kyojin) and Mamoru Miyano (Bungou Stray Dogs) and are joining the cast as the super heroes Gamma 1 and Gamma 2, respectively.

The Dragon Ball Super television anime, sequel to Dragon Ball Z, aired in 131 episodes from July 2015 to March 2018. The first movie in the Super series, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, opened in Japan in December 2018, grossing over 13.5 million yen (approximately US$12.3 million) worldwide. The movie was nominated at the 42nd Japan Academy Film Prize in the Animation of the Year category.

Toriyama and Toyotarou began serializing the Dragon Ball Super manga in June 2015 in V-Jump magazine. Shueisha shipped the 17th volume on December 3. VIZ Media licensed the manga in English in North America and will publish the 15th volume on January 4.
