'Elf-san wa Yaserarenai.' Announces Additional Cast
The official website of the Elf-san wa Yaserarenai. (Plus-Sized Elf) television anime revealed additional cast members and the key visual (pictured) on Thursday. The television anime is scheduled to air on July 7 at 1:30 a.m. on Tokyo MX and BS11, followed by AT-X.

Toshikatsu Tokoro (Nande Koko ni Sensei ga!?) is directing the television anime at Elias. Katsuyuki Satou (Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi) is designing the characters, and Yuuki Takabayashi (Love Kome: We Love Rice) is in charge of the series composition. Cheru Watanabe (Maken-Ki!) is composing the music.
The anime adapts Synecdoche's comedy fantasy manga, which was serialized in Web Comic Gum from December 2016 to May 2021. Akita Shoten shipped the eighth and final volume in November 2021.
A sequel manga titled Shin Elf-san wa Yaserarenai. (Plus-Sized Elf: Second Helping!) began in Dokodemo Young Champion magazine in November 2021. The third volume shipped on January 18, and the fourth volume is scheduled to be released on August 20.
Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the manga and its sequel in English in November 2017 and March 2023, respectively. The eighth and final volume of the original manga was released in December 2022. The sequel manga's second volume went on sale on February 20, with its third volume scheduled to be released on October 29.
