'Darwin Jihen' Unveils Main Cast, First Promo
The official website of the Darwin Jihen (The Darwin Incident) television anime revealed main cast, a key visual (pictured) and first promotional video on Friday. The anime is scheduled to premiere in January 2026.

Charlie Stein: Atsumi Tanezaki (Vivy: Fluorite Eye's Song)
Lucy Eldred: Mitsuho Kanbe (Dungeon Meshi)
Rivera Feyerabend: Akio Ootsuka (Koukaku Kidoutai)
Naokatsu Tsuda (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV)) is directing the anime at Bellnox Films. Shinichi Inotsume (Persona 5 the Animation) is handling the series composition and Shinpei Tomooka (Trinity Seven) is designing the characters. Alisa Okehazama (Kusuriya no Hitorigoto) and Mariko Horikawa are composing the music.
The anime adapts Shun Umezawa's sci-fi manga which began in Afternoon magazine in June 2020. Kodansha shipped the nineth volume on May 22.
Kodansha USA licensed the manga in English in November 2022 and released the eighth volume on September 23.
