'Hi no Tori: Eden no Sora' Announces Main Cast, Additional Staff, September 13 Debut, 'Eden no Hana' Movie to Follow with Alternate Ending
Studio 4°C announced the main cast and additional staff for the Hi no Tori: Eden no Sora (PHOENIX: EDEN17) original net anime on Friday. The anime is scheduled to debut worldwide on Disney+ on September 13.
Happinet Phantom Studios opened an official website for a movie version of the net anime featuring an alternative ending titled Hi no Tori: Eden no Hana (Phoenix: Reminiscence of Flower), revealing a teaser visual (pictured) and a teaser trailer. The movie will open in Japanese theaters on November 3.

Shoujirou Nishimi (Mutafukaz) is helming the anime at Studio 4°C. Tatsuzou Nishida (Bakemono no Ko animation director) is the character designer and chief animation director.
The anime adapts Osamu Tezuka's Hi no Tori (Phoenix) manga, which originally began in July 1954 in Manga Shounen but did not finish due to the magazine's suspension in May 1955. A new story began in Shoujo Club the following May, but it also was not completed and ended in December 1957. Tezuka began writing a new story for the series in January 1967 in COM, however, it remains incomplete due to his death in February 1989.
