Manga 'Chi.: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite' Gets Anime
The 30th issue of Big Comic Spirits announced an anime adaptation of Uoto's Chi.: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite (About the Movement of the Earth) manga on Monday. Animation studio Madhouse is producing the anime.
Uoto began serializing the historical manga in Big Comic Spirits in September 2020 and ended on April 18. Shogakukan shipped the seventh volume on March 30, with the eighth and final volume scheduled to be released on June 30.
Chi.: Chikyuu no Undou ni Tsuite won the Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, placed second in the Male Readers category in the 2022 Kono Manga ga Sugoi! rankings, and was nominated for the 15th Manga Taisho Award and 46th Kodansha Manga Awards in the General category.
Synopsis
15th century Poland—a time when heretical ideas led those who possessed such a mindset to be burned at the stake for their beliefs. Rafal, a child prodigy, is expected to major in theology at university, the most important subject at the time. However, one day he meets a mysterious man, and begins researching a potential "truth" amid heretical ideas!
